Terms of Sale

Return Policy

If the item is unsuitable for your purpose but is not faulty then this must be reported to us within 14 days or less of receipt and the items returned within 30 days. If the item becomes faulty within 30 days and is reported within 30 days then it can be returned for refund or replacement. If the item becomes faulty as result of a manufacturing fault after 30 days and before the end of the warranty period then it can be returned for repair. You must notify us of your intent to return the item by e-mail to sales@evoscooters.co.uk. Once the return has been approved you will be issued with an RMA number. You must ensure that the RMA number is marked on the paperwork which you return with the item. Please ensure that you include a copy of your invoice along with the stated reason for return. Refunds take up to 10 working days to process. Any items returned must be returned in the original packaging or they will not be accepted. In the case of non-faulty items you will still be responsible for any original shipping charges. Items returned under the 14 day right to cancel must be returned in unused ‘as new’ condition. We cannot accept returns of items which have been used at all. Items which are faulty and returned within 30 days must be in good re-saleable condition apart from the reported fault. Upon receipt of a return item, it will be examined by our technician. Providing that the item is found to have a manufacturing fault, we will process a refund or replacement as required. If no fault is found, or the problem is found to have been caused by the customer, then the seller will not be responsible for repair nor return of the item. A signature will be required upon delivery of your item. Sometimes items can get damaged in transit due to rough handling by the courier. Prior to signing for your item, inspect the carton/packaging for any visible damage. If there is any damage, or the package arrives with the carton open, write a description of the damage on the freight bill. Otherwise, it will be deemed that you have signed for the package as arriving in good condition. We require you to notify us by email of any damage or missing parts within 24 hours of receipt. We cannot accept claims for damage or missing parts in cases where we have not received written notification within 24 hours of the delivery time. In the case of an item that is faulty after the first thirty days and before the end of the warranty period, we will typically offer to send replacement parts. If, however, the buyer prefers to send the item to us for a warranty repair, the buyer will be responsible for returning the item to our warehouse. The item must be returned by trackable means securely and safely packed where possible in the original packaging. We regret that for petrol or diesel powered products we cannot accept returns once fuel and/or lubricants have been introduced into the product. Our courier will not accept products containing or smelling of fuel. In the case of an item damaged in the post, we will ask the buyer to send a photograph of the damage together with a further photograph of the outer packaging showing any ripping or tearing etc. Clear photographs taken with a digital camera can be sent as an email attachment. In many cases we will be able to send spare parts to repair the damage but we may require the item to be returned subject to the return provisions set out above.

Your right to cancel

Under the 2015 Consumer Protection Act the customer is given the right to return unwanted goods within a fixed time period. This “cooling-off” period gives you 14 days in which to cancel your order without giving a reason. The cooling-off period starts on the day after the day that the goods are received.

Please note that if you decide to return the item within the 14 days you will need to comply with the following conditions.

1)            Returns can only be accepted in the original packaging.

2)            Prior to any return you must contact us and obtain an RMA number.

3)            The item must be returned to us using a tracked and insured method.

4)            The item must be in ‘as delivered’ condition. We cannot accept the return of items which have been used in any way or have any marks on them.

Our scooters are defined under English Law as motor vehicles and so there some provisions of the 2015 Consumer Protection Act which differ from other products. The principle difference is that any returned item (for whatever reason) can be subject to a reduction in the refund amount for any wear and tear suffered by the item.
